I am an artistic soul seeker living in the heart of Phoenixville, PA with my beloved husband Michael Bedford. I adore playing with paint, digging in dirt to make things grow and learning to never underestimate the power of the heart
I received a BFA in Illustration/Painting from Marywood College in 1995. I have enjoyed every medium I have ever tried but my heart loves oil painting for its stunning color and alchemy. Most of my artwork is large abstract oils capturing the raw energy and beauty of creation. When I am working I feel connected to something bigger than myself it seems it can only be seen with paint and brush. Often there a bright light emanating from the painting.
Although, yoga has been a part of my life for over twenty years I began to have a sincere practice after taking classes at Ocean Earth Wind Fire in Phoenixville. I finished my yoga teacher training in 2013 through Living Mandala Yoga. Currently I teach a yoga class Thursday’s at 7:30 at Ocean Earth Wind Fire.
I now see yoga as a map maker for discovering all the treasure buried in the body and soul. I appreciate the physical connection yoga poses offer and have found the exploration of meditation to be transforming.
As an artist and teacher I believe art and yoga are ever evolving creative practices that’s true purpose is to awaken our souls to the magic and mystery of life.
