Growing up, if my mom was waiting for someone to come home, she would often pull the curtain back and put a candle in the window. I think it is an old Irish tradition, from before electricity, so people could see their way home while walking across the fields in Ireland. I hope this is true because I like to imagine hungry eyes scanning mist covered hills, and then finally seeing a light. That feeling in the heart when they walk through the door!
What is in the mist that your heart is waiting for? What are you peeking out the window looking for… love, joy, patience, compassion, courage, peace or something else? Whatever it is, this mandala invites you to light a candle 108 times asking for it to come home. Maybe whatever you consider divine will sense your light and send it to your door.
